Heritage Ranch successfully raised over $150,000 through their Heritage Gala Friday, Sept. 16 at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel. The Gala welcomed a crowd of over 350 guests who participated in silent and live auctions, raffle by Cut Fine Jewelry, Kendra Scott Jewelry Pull, Spin to Win and more. The event was presented by AV Solutions and Burger King, Clements Management.
Food and refreshments were provided by local area restaurants and vendors throughout the event. Live music by Platinum Sound Orchestra entertained guests as well. The event was hosted by emcee Dixon McMakin. Special guests for the evening included Honorary Chair Corey Webster and Board of Advisor member Joseph Addai
With the theme of “Restore and Rebuild”, the night highlighted the needs of the Ranch after the recent devastating flooding. Money raised from the event will support programming for the youth and families at Heritage Ranch. Donors also provided specific funds to rebuild the home and furnish bedrooms and other living spaces for the boys.
“[It’s] so great to see so many people supporting Heritage Ranch,” said guest Brittany Pearce, “I think it’s wonderful they’re still having an event...even though the flood just happened. It’s nice that they’re having joy amidst their dishevelment.”
There were nine live auction packages available including multiple vacations, a cooking lesson with Chef Philippe Parola, a LSU tailgating package and a Cottonmouth boat. The highest winning bid was the boat at $11,000.00.
“At a time when so many people are overwhelmed with the effects of flooding, we were especially moved by the support of our guests. We had a record year in revenue raised and attendance,” said Vicki Ellis, Executive Director, Heritage Ranch Christian Children’s Home.
