#wherehopehappens: A Progress Report

We are so excited to share the progress happening at Heritage Ranch! The construction on the Boy’s Home is coming along well. Pictured above is one of the boy’s rooms as of this week. We anticipate construction to be complete in September so we can start the inspection and licensure process, with the goal of re-opening our doors in the Fall!

We are also thrilled to have our new houseparent couple who will be living with and caring for the boys when we re-open.  Grant and Ashlee Dew have been married for four years and are passionate about working with youth and families. Grant’s degree in Christian Ministry and business management and Ashlee’s degree in exercise science and sports management, coupled with their youth pastoring experience, provide them with a wide variety of skills and knowledge to bring to this position. Previously, Grant and Ashlee served as full time missionaries in Belize where they hosted approximately 60 youth in their home weekly for dinner and bible studies. They also began a homework program called “JumpStart” where they tutored as many as 25 students 4 days per week. After their time as missionaries in Belize, the Dews moved to Fayetteville Tennessee, where they served as youth pastors at The Rock Family Worship Center. Ashlee and Grant feel the Lord has called them to Heritage Ranch and are excited to be in Zachary.

That’s the latest update here at Heritage Ranch! Thank you for your continued support!
